Stremler, Montero pick up wins at Yerington

Humboldt County in Fallon this weekend

The Humboldt County Rodeo Club closed out the month in Yerington on March 29-30.

Clay Stremler and Luke Logan recorded a first and second-place finish in the saddle bronc in the first performance on March 29. Stremler won the event with 67 points, while Logan was second at 64. Luke Logan and Jake Logan were 10th in the team roping with a time of 23.92.

Savannah Montero turned in a pair of top-four finishes on March 29. She placed third in goat tying with a time of 8.11 and was fourth in breakaway roping at 3.90. Emalee Brown was sixth in breakaway roping, stopping the clock at 4.30.

Stremler made it two-for-two in the saddle bronc, winning the second performance on March 30, with a score of 66. Stremler placed fourth in the all-around standings for the weekend.

Montero also picked up a victory March 30, earning the top spot in breakaway roping with a time of 3.38. Montero was second in goat tying at 8.09 and was seventh in pole bending in a time of 22.665. Montero earned reserve all-around honors for the weekend.

Jake Logan posted a fourth-place finish in tie-down roping with a time of 21.590.
