Street master plan map on council agenda

WINNEMUCCA - The Winnemucca City Council will meet on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at City Hall, 90 W. Fourth St.

The meeting begins with the call to order, Pledge of Allegiance, correction and possible approval of the June 19 minutes, review and possible approval of warrants and a proclamation for the American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life" Days. Public and personal communication and correspondence follows.

Agenda items include a public hearing and possible ordinance adoption. The rezone request is for a RW-12-05/R-1-9 (Single Family Residential District-9,000 square foot minimum lot size) to an R-1-9 PD (Single Family Residential Planned Development District-9,000 square foot minimum lot size) zoning district on approximately 52 acres of undeveloped property located easterly of Schreiner Drive, westerly of Great Basin Avenue and northerly of Foothill Drive (APN 016-411-35/Jacobsen FLP).

Another public hearing and possible ordinance adoption is set for 2:15 p.m. This would amend Winnemucca Municipal Code (WMC) Chapter 15.04 to adopt the 2009 edition of the International Energy Conservation Code and to make local modifications to the International Residential Code mechanical section and plumbing section and to postpone the enforcement of mandatory duct testing requirements.

Potential traffic control measures for the Offenhauser Drive-Great Basin Drive area are also scheduled. Other items include a request for waiver of parcel map street improvement requirements for East National Avenue and a request for delay of payment of water-sewer connection fees on a duplex development project on East Fourth Street near Winnemucca Junior High School.

The council will also hear a request for a partial waiver of connection fees to the water system, a request for a contribution toward the Phase II asphalt project from the Northern Nevada Racing Association and a public restroom waiver request for a proposed Papa Murphy's franchise.

Also scheduled is a proposed interlocal agreement between the Humboldt Development Authority and the Governor's Office of Economic Development and an updated city street master plan map.
