WINNEMUCCA - State regulators announced last week that they plan to issue an air quality operating permit for Allied Nevada's Hycroft Mine.
The Class I permit would allow company subsidiary Hycroft Resources & Development to build ore crushing, screening and conveyance equipment, along with lime silos and a diesel generator, at the expanding mine 55 miles west of Winnemucca.
A copy of the draft permit from the Nevada Bureau of Air Pollution Control is available at the Humboldt County Library.
