Stanley Davis Nielson, 77 of Winnemucca died at his home on Thursday, July 2, 2011. He was born January 26, 1934 in Kingman, AZ. He was a former resident of Spokane and Veradale, WA. He had worked in construction drilling and blasting in all the western states. He is survived by his wife, Joan of Winnemucca, two daughters, Pauline Hagen of Chewelah, WA., Charlotte Moffitt of Denver, CO; two sons, Roger Nielson of Winnemucca, and David Nielson of Wheatland, CA. Also eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. At his request no services will be held. Contibutions may be made in his name to Humboldt Volunteer Hospice, P.O. Box 843, Winnemucca, NV 89446. Lovelock Funeral Home handled arrangements. A celebration of Stan D. Nielson’s life will be Sunday July 17th at Pioneer Park from 11:00am to 3:00pm.
