BATTLE MOUNTAIN - In Battle Mountain, St. John Bosco's Annual St. Patrick's Day spaghetti dinner and cedar chest raffle was held March 16. The actual holiday was the following day.
The event was a fundraiser held by the Altar Society and raised $3,300.
The money raised from the event will go toward the Easter egg hunt, scholarships, church supplies, Thanksgiving baskets and more.
"Congratulations to Pete Tomera, winner of the cedar chest," said Altar Society President Patty Larsgaard. "Thank you to everyone who supported the Altar Society's spaghetti feed. It looked like everyone enjoyed themselves."
In addition to spaghetti, the menu also consisted of salad, garlic bread, dessert, punch and coffee. The cost was $8 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under. Wine and water were also available for purchase. Take-out was offered.
There was bingo following the dinner with cash prizes. There were 20 raffle prizes with the main prize being the cedar chest that was filled with household items, said Larsgaard. People did not have to be present to win. Other raffle prizes included gas cards, bed pillows and wine glasses.[[In-content Ad]]
