Humboldt County Commissioners will hold a special meeting Friday morning at 9 a.m. to discuss their impressions of the seven candidates for Humboldt County administrator they have met and interviewed. Before being selected to participate in Monday's interview process, the seven went through an extensive vetting process that included background checks, resume checks and reference checks.
When the commissioners determined the schedule for the process by which they would select a new county administrator, they wanted several days space between interviews and the selection discussion to allow individual commissioners time to consider each candidate.
Friday's special meeting will begin at 9 a.m. with an opportunity for the public to address the commissioners.
Following, the commissioners are scheduled to discuss the interviews they conducted on Monday and possibly select a candidate to be offered the position of county administrator. Terms and conditions of the offer will be discussed, along with the parameters of authority to negotiate a contract with the preferred candidate.
Public comment is also allowed at the end of the meeting.[[In-content Ad]]
