Sondra Lee Kelly passed away on March 10, 2013, at Humboldt General Hospital.
She was born Feb. 25, 1940, to Sylvan and Elizabeth Venable. She has been a Nevadan since 1972 and moved to Winnemucca in May of 2003. Sondra loved to work in her garden, paint, camp and fish. She also volunteered at the hospital where she worked in the auxiliary as a Pink Lady, and the Poke N' Peek thrift shop. She also was a member of the Commanders Club of the Disabled American Veterans.
She worked as a bartender and at IGT in the casino gaming industry for 35 years until she retired and moved to Winnemucca.
Sondra is survived by her ex-husband/common law husband of 24 years, Philip R. Jacka, of Winnemucca, and son, Tony Iaea, and daugher-in-law Kari Iaea, of Reno, Nev., sister Sylvia Herron, grandchildren, Tony Iaea Jr, Derek Ieae and Jeremy Iaea, all of Winnemucca, nieces, Kristin Ria and Kelene Garrett.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sylvan and Elizabeth Venable, and her little sister. Sondra's family would like to thank Humboldt General Hospital, Dr. Robbie Grant, Dr. Soon Kim, Detective Jim Loveless and Harmony Manor for all of their help and support over the past few years.
