Solon Michael Gardner, 33 passed away in the early hours of Nov. 13, 2014, as the result of injuries sustained in a car accident.
Solon was born July 21, 1981, to Michael and Sandra Gardner in Reno and was a lifelong Winnemucca resident.
Solon is preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Ceccarelli Gardner, aunt Linda Gardner, uncles Gary Gardner, Kerry Kallio and Kraig Kallio.
Solon is survived by his father, Michael Gardner of Winnemucca, his children LeAndre, Dylan and Dakota of Winnemucca and his fiancée Kara Osborne also of Winnemucca. Additionally Solon leaves his sisters Melany Johnson and Marcella Prather (Don) of Winnemucca, his sister Melody Wilson (Ray) of Twin Falls, Idaho, and his brother Stephan Morrison (David) of Fort Walton Beach Florida. He leaves behind his uncle and aunt Dick and Jo Gardner of Beatty, Nevada, aunt Sherry Kallio of Elko, Nevada, uncle and aunt Fred and Vicki Ceccarelli of New Castle, Pennsylvania and many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Solon was a gentle and kind soul who never met a stranger. Being much younger than his siblings he came to be known by his nieces and nephews as their "favorite uncle-brother."
A memorial service is planned for Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Exhibit Hall at the Fairgrounds, 1000 Fairgrounds Rd. in Winnemucca. Burial will follow in the Winnemucca Cemetery. Sonoma Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.[[In-content Ad]]
