The Lowry High School softball team remained undefeated in the Division I-A North with a three-game sweep at Elko this past weekend.
The Buckaroos won a slugfest 14-12 on Friday and swept the Indians 12-5 and 16-5 on Saturday to improve to 6-0 in league play and 7-3 overall. Lowry has now won seven games in a row, after losing its first three contests at the Victory Preseason Tournament of Champions in California.
Meanwhile, the Lowry baseball team dropped two of three games on its road trip to Elko. The Indians won the opener 11-2 on Friday and the first game on Saturday 6-5 in eight innings. The Buckaroos salvaged one game of the series, winning the finale 10-8. Lowry is now 4-2 in the Division I-A North and 4-7 overall.
Lowry is in action this weekend as the softball and baseball teams host Dayton. The two schools will play a single game on Friday at 3 p.m. and a doubleheader Saturday at 11 a.m.
