ELKO - The second outing for the annual Bureau of Land Management's Take It Outside Moonlight Snowshoe hikes will take place Feb. 23, 2013 at the Angel Creek Campground located near Wells beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Free snowshoe use is provided for the first 40 who register. The two-hour event will offer free hot chocolate, a warming campfire and the opportunity to view Angel Creek under a lunar glow. This trek is for all ages and skill levels. Come alone or bring your family.
This is the second event of the winter for the snowshoe hikes. One more hike is planned for March 23. More information will be provided as the date draws near and will also be posted to the BLM website at www.blm.gov/rv5c.
Teaming up with the BLM to provide these fun, free activities on your public lands are the U.S. Forest Service and Cedar Creek Clothing in Elko.
The Angel Creek Campground is located eight miles south of Wells on State Route 231. From I-80, take exit 351 W. Wells to NV-231 W/Angel Lake Rd.
