The first snowfall of the season brought slick roads as well last week. The Nevada Highway Patrol said this Dodge Dakota hit a slick spot near the Rose Creek overpass west of Winnemucca. The driver lost control on the snowy, icy overpass, the NHP said, causing the pickup to overturn and roll several times in the median of I-80. Both occupants were injured. The driver was later flown to Reno for medical treatment, the NHP said. The NHP said both occupants were local residents.
