JEN ANDERSON • The Humboldt Sun
Smoke rolled in to the Winnemucca area late Thursday evening, causing the sun to cast an eerie orange glow. The smoke is primarily coming from the Rim Fire near Yosemite in the Sierra-Nevada Mountains, which was still burning as of Friday afternoon with only small percentage of containment. Another fire in the Tahoe National Forest may have also contributed to the large amounts of smoke and haze in northern Nevada.[[In-content Ad]]
