Small Town Christmas celebration plans underway Area businesses, residents invited to participate

LOVELOCK - Plans have already begun for the Small Town Christmas celebration in Lovelock. Many activities are planned for Saturday, Dec. 3.

Activities include The Friends of the Library Craft Fair at the community center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Christmas carols will be performed on the courthouse steps by the Lovelock Sign Language Club and wine tasting at A Little Something. All this is in addition to the annual Parade of Lights, which is sponsored by the Pershing County Tourism Authority this year.

Small Town Christmas volunteer Valorie Santos said that area merchants are working on more activities for the day.

"We are working on decorating the town so if anyone would like to help with that they can call me. We are open for new ideas," Santos said.

Santos can be contacted at (775) 240-7164. Anyone interested in entering the Parade of Lights should call the Lovelock/Pershing County Chamber of Commerce at 273-7213.
