Shirly Jo Etcheverry 68, passed away Dec. 25, 2013 Christmas Day. Shirly was born on Sept. 18, 1945 in Hawthorne, Nev., to Betty and John Tarrant.
Shirly spent most of her time as a bookkeeper. She worked for Wild West Enterprises and the Model T accounting office in Winnemucca. She later moved to Elko where she started her own business, Etcheverry's Bookkeeping. Shirly was able to balance work while suffering from rheumatoid arthritis since the age of 32.
Shirly was preceded in death by her mother Betty and father John, her grandparents Louie and Mae Oddieo and her uncle Johnny Oddieo. She is survived by her three children Stella (Frank) Maestrejuan of Winnemucca, John (Caroline) Etcheverry of Winnemucca and Teresa (Tom) Gust of Elko, her grandchildren Nikki Hines, Kiefer and Jeremiah Maestrejuan, Hana Etcheverry, and Trenton and Shelby Jones, her sisters Barbara (Jon) Beauregard of Elko, Frankie (Richard) Harris of Tooele, Utah, her uncle Keith (Becky) Oddieo of Carson City, her aunt Dot Oddieo of Boulder City, Nev., and her aunt Billie D. (Chuck) Prigmore of Tulsa, Okla.
Shirly will be laid to rest on Jan. 25 2014, 10 a.m. Carson City, Lone Mountain Cemetery. May you rest in peace![[In-content Ad]]
