After 27 weeks of academy training, the Nevada Highway Patrol is proud to welcome seven new troopers to rural Nevada. Earlier this week, they received all their equipment and patrol cars. The new troopers will team up with Public Safety Officers for 16 weeks to better learn the job of a Nevada State Trooper. After that training, they will work on their own patrolling Nevada roadways and assisting the public. These troopers will be stationed in Elko, Battle Mountain, Winnemucca, and Lovelock.
