Wednesday, May 7, after performing the fifth annual Senior Skits, seniors in the drama and stagecraft classes took the opportunity to give some praise to some behind-the-scenes people who've been essential to their success: their parents.

Senior drama and stagecraft class members thanked their parents for all the years of support, love and encouragement as they bid farewell to their high school stage.

Drama and stagecraft teacher Corrine James was glad to see the students' parents get the accolades they deserve. "Parents provide the rides, the food; they make up the consistent audience that pays to come to all the plays, clapping and cheering their kids on."

The seniors spoke to their parents and what they expressed left "not a dry eye in the house," said James. "The kids said such beautiful things about their parents; they're really grateful kids."

One student's message to his mom touched everyone. Damon Miller said, "I know I'm not the best kid in the world, but it makes life a little easier when you get to come home to an angel every night. Thanks mom, for everything."

James referred to this senior class as "an outstanding group with some irreplaceable qualities and enthusiasm. I will really miss them!"[[In-content Ad]]
