School district autism team will provide presentation on support and resources

'Solving the Puzzle Through Community Resources' scheduled for Tuesday, March 18

WINNEMUCCA - The Humboldt County School District Autism Team has announced a special presentation aimed at helping students with autism and other disabilities.

"Solving the Puzzle Through Community Resources" is geared toward families, caregivers and educators of special needs students.

The presentation will take place during two sessions Tuesday, March 18. The first is scheduled for noon to 3 p.m. at the Humboldt County School District conference room; a second presentation will take place from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the library at French Ford Middle School.

There is no charge to attend and childcare will be provided.

The seminar will include mini presentations on the many supports and resources available within the community for autism and other disabilities.

Those include the HCSD Autism Team, HCSD Early Childhood teachers, a student panel, the University Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment, Nevada Parents Educating Parents (NV PEP), Rural Mental Health, Rural Regional Center, Nevada Behavioral Solutions, and Nevada Early Intervention Services.
