BATTLE MOUNTAIN - The Lander County School Board recognized three people for December.
Anna Penola recognized Judy Dahl for nearly 30 years of service in the Lander County School district and nearly 40 years of teaching. She has her master's as a reading specialist and teaches music and drama to elementary students.
Dahl is that very special person who shares her love for music and drama with our children and gives the parents that special show at the holidays.
Susan Davis recognized Tim Samaniego from Garland Industries for all his time and energy for our district. His company reroofed and painted the high school. He met with the board and kept them updated weekly with reports and pictures. It is nice to have someone do dedicated working with our district.
Mark Lake recognized Susan Davis for her lifelong dedication to education and what an asset to our board and district. She is very well appreciated.
Doug Longchamps and John Davis were absent from the meeting. Jan Morrison will recognize December's and January's honorees in Austin in January. Todd Thompson will have two honorees in January also.
