School board honors parents and PIRC volunteers

The Lander County School Board recognized many people who volunteer in the schools as the December honorees. They volunteer with the Parent Involvement Resource Center, WATCH D.O.G.S., youth sports, PTA and school events.

Those were Dennis and Rita Fowler, Robert and Tonya Crommelin, Sheldon and Mandi Mudd, Pat and Dawn McClary, Aaron and Dusti Gilbert, Chancy and Sheila Campbell, Josh and Sady Tingey, Dave and Nilla Fuller, Dave and Bobbi Koll, Dr. Todd and Cassie Thompson, Mitch and Elaine Domagala, Jason and Elsa Spence, Brian and Crystal Bard, Joe and Misty Quintana, Dale and Cathy Updike, Steve and Lisa Burkhart, Mike and Kelli Chopp

Jason and Lisa Clark, Joe and Carynn Conder, Doug and Dana Longchamps, Jim and Annette Rochester, Todd and Gwen Samuelson, Jon and Sandra Sherve and David and Annette Evans.

For January, the board recognized Victoria Chavez and Marcia Pray for the time they spend at PIRC to help students and staff. They have been coming several times a week in the past few months teaching American Sign Language.

Pray also helps students struggling in the AR program.

Pray expressed her thanks and said her daughter graduated in 2012 and all she wanted to do was give back to the community that supported her and her family during difficult times.[[In-content Ad]]
