Schedule set for annual State Farm Insurance Volleyball Classic at Lowry High School

WINNEMUCCA - The tentative schedule for the State Farm Insurance Volleyball Classic to be played on Friday, Aug. 30, and Saturday, Aug. 31, in Winnemucca has been set.

The schedule had to redone after a couple of schools dropped out of the tournament late last week.

Lowry High School will be in pool one along with Middleton, Idaho, Fernley and Dayton. On Friday, Aug. 30, the Lady Bucks will play Fernley at noon, Dayton at 2:30 p.m., Whittell at 3:45 p.m. and Middleton at 6:15 p.m.

All of those matches will be played in the main gym of the high school.

Pool two will consist of Whittell, Churchill County, Elko and Battle Mountain. One court will be used in the main gym and two courts will be utilized in the new gym.

The tournament will move to a double elimination format on Saturday, Aug. 31, and begin at 8 a.m. in both gyms.

The teams will be seeded on basis of their play in pool play the day before. The best-of-5 championship match is tentatively set for 3:30 p.m.[[In-content Ad]]
