WINNEMUCCA - Sand Dune Diggers (20-2) defeated Losers 11-6 to capture the regular season championship in the Winnemucca Pool League. Sand Dune Diggers finished with 249 out of a possible 374 points.
Rack Pack (18-4) closed out with a 10-7 victory over Hole in the Wall to place second with 227 points. The Losers (14-8) remained
in third place despite their loss in the final week. The losers ended the season with 217 points.
Cheers (15-7) are fourth with 213 points and Club 40 (11-11) rounded out the top five with 207 points.
Cassidy's Outlaws (11-11) is sixth with 190 points, while The Executers (11-11) stayed in seventh place with 186 points. Hole in the Wall (7-15) is eighth with 174 points; Sand Lizards (9-13) are ninth with 170 points and Miners (8-14) round out the top 10 with 159 points. The Breakers (5-17) and Ringers (3-19) finish out the standings.
In other week 22 action, The Executers beat Miners 10-7; Cheers defeated Sand Lizards 9-8; Cassidy's Outlaws knocked off The Breakers 12-5 and Club 40 beat Ringers 13-4.
Mike Ethington leads the individual standings with a 9.50 average and seven wins. Mike Hughes (9.25) is second; Harold Brown (9.25) is third and Ted Garcia (9.16) and Robert Shell (9.16) are fourth and fifth, respectively.
Garcia leads the Top Gun standings, while Robert Shell is second and Jake Roeder (9.15) third. Ed Castellanos (8.78) and Wayne Elder (8.57) are fourth and fifth, respectively.
