WINNEMUCCA - For the first time this year the Winnemucca Pool League has a new leader atop its standings.
Sand Dune Diggers (5-2) defeated Miners 14-3 in week seven action and moved up to the lead with 79 out of a possible 119 points.
Rack Pack (6-1) suffered its first loss off the season, falling 13-4 to The Losers. Rack Pack has 77 out of a possible 119 points.
Cheers (5-2) stayed in third place with a 10-7 win over Hole in the Wall and 73 points. Cassidy's Outlaws (5-2) remained in fourth with 64 points and The Losers (3-4) and Club 40 (3-4) are tied for fifth with 62 points.
The Executers (4-3) are seventh with 61 points and Hole in the Wall (2-5) is eighth with 57 points. Sand Lizards (3-4) are ninth with 52 points and The Breakers (2-5) round out the top 10 with 48 points. Miners (2-5) and Ringers (2-5) finish out the standings.
In other week seven action, Sand Lizards beat Miners 10-7, Cassidy's Outlaws defeated Club 40 9-8, Cheers knocked off Hole in the Wall 10-7 and The Executers beat The Breakers 11-6.
Ted Garcia leads the individual standings with a 9.42 average and 20 wins. Mike Hughes is second with a 9.25 average and seven wins and Harold Brown (9.25) is third. Ed Castellanos (9.17) and Craig Bernas (9.13) are fourth and fifth, respectively.
Garcia leads the Top Gun standings, while Robert Shell (8.88) is second and Jake Roeder (8.75) third. Guillermo Garcia (8.71) and Jim Reed (8.54) are fourth and fifth, respectively.
To be eligible for the Top Gun Standings, a player must have played at least 19 games.
