Sand Dune Diggers stay out in front in Winnemucca Pool League standings

Roeder out in front in Top Gun standings

WINNEMUCCA - Sand Dune Diggers (17-2) defeated Sand Lizards 12-5 in week 19 action to widen their lead in the Winnemucca Pool League standings with 215 out of a possible 323 points.

Rack Pack (16-3) bounced back to beat Club 40 11-6 and is in second place with 199 points. The Losers (12-7) lost 10-7 to The Executers but maintained their third-place standing with 190 points.

Cheers (13-6) are fourth with 186 points and Club 40 (9-10) is fifth with 177 points as the top five stayed the same.

Cassidy's Outlaws (10-9) is sixth with 163 points, while The Executers (9-10) stayed in seventh place 158 points. Hole in the Wall (6-13) is eighth with 152 points; Sand Lizards (7-12) are ninth with 141 points and Miners (7-12) round out the top 10 with 136 points. The Breakers (5-14) and Ringers (3-16) finish out the standings.

In other week 19 action, Cassidy's Outlaws beat Ringers 12-5; Miners defeated Hole in the Wall 12-5 and Cheers knocked off The Breakers 12-5.

Mike Ethington leads the individual standings with a 9.50 average and seven wins. Mike Hughes (9.25) is second; Harold Brown (9.25) is third and Dee Mallory (9.25) and Jake Roeder (9.19) are fourth and fifth, respectively.

Roeder leads the Top Gun standings, while Ted Garcia (9.10) is second and Robert Shell (9.06) third. Ed Castellanos (9.00) and Cleve Mallory (8.54) are fourth and fifth, respectively.

To be eligible for the Top Gun standings, a player must have played at least 51 games.
