Sand Dune Diggers maintain Winnemucca Pool League lead

Ted Garcia out in front in Top Gun standings

WINNEMUCCA - Sand Dune Diggers (10-2) knocked off Club 40 11-6 in week 12 action to stay on top of the Winnemucca Pool League standings for a sixth consecutive week with 133 out of a possible 204 points.

Rack Pack (10-2) and Cheers (10-2) are tied for second with 129 points. Rack Pack beat The Breakers 10-7, while Cheers defeated Cassidy's Outlaws 13-4.

The Losers (7-5) are fourth with 116 points and Club 40 (4-8) moved up a spot to fifth with 104 points despite its loss.

The Executers (7-5) are sixth spot with 103 points, while Cassidy's Outlaws (6-6) are seventh with 102 points. Hole in the Wall (4-8) is eighth with 94 points; The Breakers (4-8) are ninth with 91 points and Sand Lizards (5-7) round out the top 10 with 89 points. Miners (3-9) and Ringers (2-10) finish out the standings.

In other week 12 action, Miners 11-6 beat Sand Lizards 10-7, The Losers defeated Hole in the Wall 10-7 and Ringers disposed of The Executers 10-7.

Mike Ethington leads the individual standings with a 9.50 average and seven wins. Mike Hughes (9.25) is second; Harold Brown (9.25) is third and Ted Garcia (9.13) and Gary Stoker (9.13) are fourth and fifth, respectively.

Garcia leads the Top Gun standings, while Robert Shell (8.98) is second and Jake Roeder (8.91) third. Ed Castellanos (8.81) and Guillermo Garcia (8.73) are fourth and fifth, respectively.

To be eligible for the Top Gun Standings, a player must have played at least 32 games.
