Rose Ann Mickelson passed away on Jan. 3, 2012, from complications due to M.S. She was born in Cedar City, Utah, on Nov. 5, 1937, to Austin and Rosella Barton. Rose Ann was raised in Paragonah, Utah, and went to Parowan High School. She moved to Yerington in 1962. While there she was a member of the Jacks and Jennys Group, an enjoyable time in her life. Having lived in several towns in Nevada, she spent the last years in Winnemucca.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Stacy LaRue, her father and mother, brothers Hanks and Mark, and sisters Dorthy Diel and Vesta Rae Burt.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years Douglas Mickelson, son Brett and his wife Lori, brothers Bill and Lynn Barton, sisters LaRue Mitchell and Kathleen Orton, husband of Vesta Rae, James Burt and many nephews and nieces.
At Rose Ann's request, no services are being held. Interment will be in Yerington.
