Roland Lovern Zufelt, 80, passed away June 23, 2013, at his home in Imlay, Nev., surrounded by his loving family.
Roland was the youngest of 13 children born to Ethel and Joseph Zufelt on Aug. 13, 1932, at Kline, Colo.
Roland married Helen Stonebarger on Dec. 7, 1955. Roland served his country as a Korean War veteran and was a miner for fifty years in all of the Four Corner states and Nevada.
He was an avid horseback rider and rode his horse Black Star daily until his death.
Roland is survived by his wife of 58 years, Helen, four children, Zane and Dianne Smith of Idaho, Terry and William Hawkins of Winnemucca, Nev., Danny and Darlene Zufelt of Elko, Nev., Vicki and Gary Wogan of Spring Creek, Nev., and one sister, Ethel Ray Ives of Salt Lake City, Utah. There are also numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Friday, June 28, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Winnemucca Cemetery.
