Robert Louis Putvain, Sr., 62, died at his home on April 7, 2014 in Winnemucca, Nev.
Robert was born Sept. 15, 1951 in Hardwick, Vermont to Alfred and Lolita Putvain. He lived in Hardwick until 1988 when he moved to Winnemucca where he went to work for Hycroft and did other various jobs in the mining industry.
Robert married Carolyn Ewen and together they had five children. Robert L. (Kathy) Putvain, James (Karen) Putvain, Angela (Willie) Blanco, Andrea (Fredrick) Bryant and Wayne Howard and family. Robert enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren, Keaona Blanco, Kylie Blanco, Kieryn Blanco, James Putvain, Ashley Kelly, Brandon Comeau, Benjamin Bryant, Judah Bryant, Jeff Monk and Josh Monk. Great-grandchildren Dru Kelly, Kadin Kelly, Bradyn Comeau, Summer Monk and Jayden Monk.
Robert is survived by his wife Carolyn, one brother Norbert two sisters Alberta and Geneva, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to send a special thank you to Kathryn Ourada, Kevin Malone, the emergency ambulance crew that responded to their call and the doctor staff at Humboldt General Emergency Room.
No services will be held per Robert's wishes.
