Rick Howard, age 39, of Winnemucca, Nev., passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at 2:28 p.m. at Renown Regional Medical Center of Reno, Nev.
He was born to Kenneth and Twila Howard on Sept. 20, 1974, in Yerington, Nev.
The family moved to Winnemucca, Nev., in June of 1988. He graduated from Albert M. Lowry High school in 1993. He worked for a few local companies before going to work at Newmont Mining where he worked for over 17 years. He also owned and operated the Winnemucca slot car store (Wildside Slotcar racing). Rick enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, 4-wheelers, motorcycles, arena trucks , stock cars and other various outdoor activities.
Rick is survived by his mother, Twila Howard, brother Kenneth Howard, Nephew Jessie Howard, Aunt Jeanne Howard and several other aunts and uncles, cousins Mike (Shawn) and Chantil Howard, Buffi and Kory Krug, Roberta Smith and John Ausmus, along with several other cousins.
Rick had a warm, witty and fun personality and made friends very easy. He will be missed by many.
Viewing will be at the Albertson Funeral Home (47 W. 1st St., Winnemucca) Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at 1 p.m. A potluck memorial service will follow. Location will be announced at the viewing. Family and Friends are welcome.
