Richard "Dick" Shroyer, 71, of Winnemucca, passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at Harmony Manor. He was born on July 24, 1940, in Muncie, Ind., to George and Kathleen Shroyer. He graduated from high school in Muncie and attended Ball State in Indiana. Dick served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He married Annie Reed on June 21, 1985, in Reno.
Dick spent many years tending bar and ten years in motel management. He loved photography, was a pool shark in his day, spent many hours watching sports, and in his younger years he was quite a golfer.
He is survived by his wife Annie; his daughters, Mary Kay Wissell and Nelda Archer; sons, Kevin Shroyer and his wife, Michelle and Paul Bennett and his long-time companion Cheryl; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by his brother Mike Shroyer and his wife Becky. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Alan Shroyer.
