Richard Charles Otto

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Charles Otto. Rich was 53 and died at work on Monday, April 28, 2014.

Rich was an amazing husband father and grandfather who loved hunting, fishing, the Greenbay Packers, his wife, children and grandchildren, not necessarily in that order.

Rich was born in Madison, Wis., on June 15, 1960, to Delores and Joseph Otto. He grew up in Baraboo, Wis., where he spent his boyhood tromping through woods, fishing at Devil's Lake, and playing outside 'til dinnertime. He loved nothing more than going squirrel hunting with his dad and eating butter and onion sandwiches with his mom.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Carra Otto, his children Jeff (Tanya) Otto, Ryan Otto, and their mother Kimberly Lamphiear, stepchildren, Jared Tarr and Sarah Ennes, and grandchildren, Andrew and Joshua Otto. He is also survived by his siblings, Barbara Luce, John Otto, and Patricia Bailey.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Albertson's Funeral Home in Winnemucca, Nev., on Monday, May 5 at 7 p.m.

Rich would want to be remembered through shared stories of his life and his work and he would not want us to dwell in sadness for his loss.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Rich's name to the Boone and Crockett Club to support big game habitat conservation and ethical hunting practices.[[In-content Ad]]
