WINNEMUCCA - The Winnemucca Ladies Golf Club was in action at the Best 9 Eclectic tournament on March 5.
In the first flight, Nina Smith was the low gross winner. The low net winners were Linda Dufurrena, first, Ellen Aker, second, and Karen Aldrich was third. In the second flight, Adua Boyle was first among low gross winners. The low net winners were Lori Warnert, first, Kay Billingsley, second and Ann Kelly was third.
Fewest putts for the day went to Ellen Aker with 14. Closest to the hole on No. 2 went to Champoo Landt at 20 feet, nine inches. Landt also was closest on No. 5 with 27 feet, nine inches.
Players said the day was a bit chilly out on the course but it was a great day to start the season.
