There will be a Meet and Greet on Aug. 7 from 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Winnemucca Convention Center West Hall. Light refreshments will available for those who attend.
This event will feature candidates running for county and state elected positions and is hosted by the Humboldt County Republican Central Committee. It will allow all voters an opportunity to speak with candidates from all parties about the candidate's agenda and ideas for a meaningful way to help direct the course of this country and the state.
Every candidate, no matter party affiliation, has been invited to participate. Numerous positive responses have been received to date and those who have not responded will be re-contacted to urge them to make the journey to meet those they hope to represent.
"This is your chance as a voter to learn something about all candidates on our ballot, ask questions and let them know your concerns and mingle with many of your county neighbors and friends; in other words, become an informed voter," said Arloa Woolford, a member of the Republican Central Committee.
