WINNEMUCCA - Reno Big Dogs won the 17th annual Winnemucca Inn Bad Boys Shootout bowling tournament held Friday, Feb. 1, through Sunday, Feb. 2, at Spare Time Bowling Center.
Reno Big Dogs won the top prize of $2,700; team members include Ray Ward, Allan Ward and Kevin Foley.
The tournament featured 108 bowlers, including a majority from out of town, playing for a $12,000 purse., Winnemucca Inn donated $2,800 of the purse.
Aker's Pro Shop (Kevin Cassinelli, Tom Schultz and Chris Aker) was second and earned $2,300. Tree Drunks (Rob Polli, Leif Ottosen and John Czipka) were third and earned $1,800. Caple's Crew (Tim Briggs, Robbie Lampe and Shawn Thompson) finished fourth and won $1,200.
Mills & Roe Law Firm (Randy Millspaugh, Scott Roe and Eric Millspaugh) finished fifth, and Johnson's Jokers (Jose Arrendondo, Kevin Scott and Dave Christy) were sixth.
Carson Lanes (Andrew Gatrell, Jim Lewis and Chris Porcello) placed seventh and Strike Zone Shop (Charlie Gumina, John Moreno and Denny Mandapat) were eighth.
The high team game went to Orphans (Paul Bellino, Debra King-Steeves and Scott Carpenter) with a 788 series. Jeff Conradi bowled two 300 games and Carpenter also had a 300 game.
The high average out of the money went to Conradi at 245.83 and Todd Thompson had the high individual points won/out of the money with 20.
