RENO - A visit from the newly-named El Paso Chihuahuas in the home opener, 16 games against the San Francisco Giants' top affiliate and new division rival, and a July 4 game highlight the Reno Aces 2014 schedule.
The Aces will open the 2014 season at home, taking on El Paso and the Albuquerque Isotopes. Due to conference realignment, Reno will face both clubs two times each at home and on the road.
The Aces remain a part of the Pacific Coast League Pacific North Division, and will be joined by the Fresno Grizzlies, Sacramento River Cats and Tacoma Rainiers for the 2014 season.
Reno will play each of the North Division teams 16 times throughout the course of the season, as well as the four Pacific South clubs (Albuquerque, El Paso, Las Vegas and Salt Lake).
American Conference teams taking on Reno at Aces Ballpark this season are Colorado Springs, Iowa, Oklahoma City and Omaha.
The club will host intrastate-rivals Sacramento on July 4, with a special fireworks show.
Aces Ballpark will host 35 weekend games during the season, up from 32 in 2013. The 2014 promotional slate, featuring giveaways, special discounts and exciting events, will be released later in the offseason.
Home game times are set for 6:35 p.m. for night games through the first two months of the season, with night contests moving to 7:05 p.m. beginning in June. July and August feature four Sunday night games, with a 6:05 p.m. first pitch.
