WINNEMUCCA - The deadline to register for this semester's free English as a Second Language classes at Great Basin College in Winnemucca is Thursday, Oct. 13.
Classes are held from 8:30 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday and again from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday. Classes cover listening, speaking, reading and writing. There are also special classes in pronunciation, basic computers and citizenship.
The ESL program is located in the Adult Learning Center on the GBC campus at 5490 Kluncy Canyon Road. For more information, stop by the center or call 623-1811.
