Regional Planning Commission meets Thursday

Parcel maps, master plan and zone changes on agenda

The Humboldt Regional Planning Commission (RPC) agenda for Thursday's meeting includes a parcel map application from Aaron and Tara Hapgood to create two lots on Great Basin Avenue between East Winnemucca Boulevard and Kluncy Canyon Road. A parcel map application from Chris and Sonja Mitchell seeks to create four lots on Sparrows Song Drive off of Water Canyon Road. A subsequent parcel map application from Chris Sonja Mitchell seeks to create 3 more lots on the same parcel.

The planning commission will consider a conditional use permit submitted by Michelle Ellis for Complete Wireless to put a 100-foot monopole tower with six additional antennas at 7305 Grass Valley Road.

A zone change application submitted by Brad Holgate, Transfuels Retail Operations, LLC and Lucille Maga seeks to change the zoning from commercial to industrial on property located at 4505 West Winnemucca Boulevard.

A master plan amendment request has been submitted by Randolph L. Smith Family Trust to reclassify property on the master plan from medium high density residential to commercial on a 3.74-acre portion of property located off US Highway 95. If that is approved, a zone change is also requested on the same property, from single family residential 9,000 square foot minimum lot size to general commercial.

A master plan amendment request has been submitted by Patrick Schommer to reclassify property on the master plan from commercial to industrial on property located off US Highway 95 across for Ford New Holland. If that is approved, a zone change application has been requested on the same property to change zoning from general commercial to industrial.

RPC's ordinance subcommittee meeting Sept. 18 to continue consideration of Medical Marijuana Establishments.

The planning commission will consider review of a model ordinance to establish a process for a renewable energy project conditional use permit and an expedited renewable energy generation project permit, and review of model language for master plan amendment and ordinance for above ground utility transmission lines and corridors.

Regional Planning Commission meetings are held in the upstairs meeting room at the courthouse, at 5:30 p.m.
