Randy R. Counts was born July 9, 1977 in Livingston, Mont., to proud parents Charles and Sandra Counts. He graduated from Park High School in 1996, Helena College of Technology in 1997. And Montana Tech of Butte with an AA in Architectural Drafting in 1999.
In 1998, he met the love of his life, Erica Real of Whitehall, Momt. They married on Sept. 2, 2000. They moved to Nevada where Randy worked in the Drafting field. In 2004, they moved to Lovelock, Nev., where Randy, his wife, father-in-law, and mother-in-law opened a restaurant - "Sha-Boom's). He learned how to "flip burgers" like a professional and had great fun at it. Randy and his father-in-law created a signature burger - "The Double Sha-Boom". He was one of the few people who could consume this one pound burger.
Randy had a strong interest in working in mining. He began his mining career on Aug. 10, 2006 for Newmont. He loved working underground.
Randy really enjoyed hunting (especially in Montana) and fishing. It gave him time to visit with his mom, dad, and brother when he was there.
The San Francisco 49'ers were the only football team to Randy, and Budlight and Pepsi were his choice of beverages.
He is survived by his best friend, his loving wife Erica and his two wonderful children Kyra Crystal and Porter James of Battle Mountain, Nev. His parents Charles and Sandra Counts and brother David Counts of Livingston, Mont. Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. His parent-in-laws James and Gayle Real of Battle Mountain, NV, brother-in-laws Alan (Rachel) Real of Helena, MT and Jim (Brittany) Real.
