Mayor Di An Putnam (left) proclaimed February National Teen Dating Violence Prevention and Awareness Month at Tuesday's Winnemucca City Council meeting. Stephanie Johnson, with Winnemucca Domestic Violence Services, was there to accept the proclamation. WDVS has always been active in making sure that women and teens are safe, Putnam said. "I urge all Winnemucca residents to work toward ending teen dating violence and empowering young people to develop healthier relationships," she said.
