ELKO - Great Basin College faculty and staff will host an Open House for prospective students and their parents on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 from 6 to 8 P.M. PREPARE for GBC offers insights into the opportunities and challenges at Great Basin College.
According to GBC Tech Prep coordinator Heather Steel, the event is dedicated to future students. "We will be presenting material that everyone needs to know before embarking on the college journey. Parents and students of all ages welcome to participate."
Topics will include admissions, financial aid, housing, tech prep, dual credit, drivers education, MTC scholarships and other scholarship opportunities, the Academic Success Center, student retention, disability support services, and GBC's academic and training programs.
Prepare for GBC will be offered via Interactive video at GBC Battle Mountain Center-Room 2
After the General Info session, labs and classrooms at the Elko Campus will be open and faculty will be available to answer questions about programs, including Diesel Technology, Welding Technology, Industrial Millwright Technology, Electrical Systems and Instrumentation Technology, Nursing, Radiology Technology, Bachelor Degree in Integrative Studies-Social Sciences, Business, Computer Technologies, Human Services, Education, Music and Theater and more.
