Power Paws 4-H Dog Club offers obedience classes

WINNEMUCCA - The Power Paws 4-H Dog Club will offer obedience classes to members of the public and their dogs beginning April 29.

This will be a seven-week course. All classes will be held on Monday evenings at the UNR Cooperative Extension Office beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The course will focus on obedience training and recall techniques through positive reinforcement. Class size is limited to 15 participants.

The registration fee is $35 for the seven-week course and includes course materials.

Participants will need to bring their own five or six foot leash and must provide proof that their dog is current on all vaccinations. All classes will be taught by 4-H Leader Judy Henigin and two of her advanced 4-H Power Paws youth.

All proceeds go to the Power Paws 4-H Club to help with the purchase of needed equipment and supplies for the club.

Anyone interested in registering for the class or would like more information can contact the Humboldt County Cooperative Extension 4-H Office at 623-6304.[[In-content Ad]]
