WINNEMUCCA - Later this month, two lucky shoppers will each win a bag full of surprises.
The Poke & Peek Thrift Shop has announced a drawing for a large "Santa Bag" and a smaller "Elf Bag." That drawing will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14. Winners do not need to be present to win, but should pick up their prizes before Christmas.
Drawing tickets are located at the front check-out area at the store. Patrons are asked to simply fill out their name and phone number. Shoppers may pick up a drawing tag each time they visit.
The thrift shop is located at 3200 Bengochea Circle in Sage Heights. Tickets will be available up until the time of the drawing. No purchase is necessary.
The Poke & Peek is the sole source of income for the Humboldt Hospital Auxiliary, an all-volunteer organization distinguished by members' pink coats.
The "pink ladies" and their gentlemen counterparts provide service in the various departments at Humboldt General Hospital as well as at the Poke & Peek where volunteers sort, price, display and sell clothing, toys, books and household items.
The Poke & Peek Thrift Shop is open Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. Donations are gladly accepted during the store's hours of operation.
