Poke 'N' Peek receives large donation

Poke 'N' Peek volunteer staff recently received a large donation of new, off-the-rack clothing from Chica's Fashion Shop, a local store that recently closed its doors.

Former store owners donated items as a way of saying goodbye; they closed their Bridge Street location after many years in business.

Donations are always appreciated at Poke 'N' Peek, as that is how the Hospital Auxiliary stays in business.

New members were welcomed to the volunteer group, as well. Both men and women volunteers are always needed.

The Auxiliary uses funds from Poke 'N' Peek, their sole source of income, to purchase things like the new portable X-ray machine, AEDs, nursing scholarships and other charitable causes to benefit the community.

The Poke 'N' Peek Thrift Shop has been in operation for over 45 years with over 1 million hours of donated volunteer time. With the help of donations, they have put over $2 million back into the community.[[In-content Ad]]
