WINNEMUCCA - The Humboldt Hospital Auxiliary has announced holiday hours for the Poke 'n' Peek thrift shop.
The thrift shop, which is located at 3200 Bengochea Circle in Sage Heights, will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25, and Friday and Saturday, Dec. 27-28, for the Christmas holiday.
The store will also close on Wednesday, Jan. 1, but will be open regular hours on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 3-4.
The Poke 'n' Peek is the sole source of income for the Humboldt Hospital Auxiliary, an all-volunteer organization distinguished by members' pink coats.
The Poke 'n' Peek thrift shop is open Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. Donations are gladly accepted during the store's hours of operation. A donation drop-box is also located to the west of the store entrance for after-hour donations.

The Frugal Flamingo thrift store, located at 720 E. Fourth St., will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24, and Wednesday, Dec. 25, so that volunteers can spend Christmas with their families.
The store will reopen for business from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Dec. 26-28.
The store will also be closed Tuesday, Dec. 31, and Wednesday, Jan. 1, for the New Year's holiday. The store will reopen for business at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014.
The Frugal Flamingo's normal hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
Donations are gladly accepted during the store's regular hours of operation.

All proceeds from the Frugal Flamingo Thrift Shop help support individuals in the Humboldt County community who are suffering from a chronic, debilitating or terminal illness.
