Plans for Operation Easter 2013 under way Public's help needed to make event a success

WINNEMUCCA - When hometown girl Kathi Wolfsteller found out there was no Easter egg hunt for the community of Humboldt County she said to herself, "There will be one in 2013."

That is when she headed to her Facebook page and posted some thoughts. To her surprise, the support was overwhelming.

She was approached by friend Mikki Ingle and the two of them are spearheading "Operation Easter 2013."

Wolfsteller met with Mayor Di An Putnam the Monday following Easter to find out what happened, what is involved and told her that she and Ingle would like to organize the upcoming egg hunt for Humboldt County.

So now the work begins. They have been in contact with various businesses and organizations already and the support keeps on coming.

What they would like everyone to know is that they want this to be a community event. They want as many businesses (small or large), civic organizations, church groups, youth groups, school clubs, etc. to be a part of this.

Right now the main goal is to get the word out that there is going to be an event and for all groups to keep in mind they are asking the community of Humboldt County to come together to help put on the Community Easter Egg Hunt in 2013. Many local businesses and organizations will be going over their fiscal budget in July and they would really like all of you to keep them in mind. They have many great ideas and surprises in store. Volunteers and monetary donations are needed. No donation is too small or too big, they can use anything.

If you would like more information please contact Kathi Wolfsteller at (775) 304-5033 or Mikki Ingle at (775) 304-3613. You may also e-mail them at operationeaster@hotmail.com.

They want to thank everyone ahead of time for your support.
