LOVELOCK - Members of the Pershing County High School Class of 1953 celebrated their 60th reunion on June 8.
A luncheon was held at the home of Dru McKinnon. Those in attendance were class members, spouses and friends.
The group included Gloria (Cervantes) Gomes, along with husband John, and George Prayter with his wife Pat. Dixie (Howe) attended with her husband Jerry and sister and brother-in-law, Donna (Howe) and Gary Taylor. Drucella (Cooney) McKinnon also attended with friend Ron Kiel.
Other attendees of the reunion were Janiece (Augustus) Monroe and her daughter Yvonne.
The PCHS Class of 1953 had 26 graduates; 60 years later 12 surviving members were located. Classmates found but not attending the reunion were Claudio Jean Baratcart, Elvida (Julie Belzarena) Woodworth, Kneeland Guisti, Celso Yauguen, Patricia (Patsy Johnson) Moore, Margret (McDonald) Saroiberry, James (Rocky Mullinex) Neil and Gino Quilici.
The celebration continued at the 96th Alumni Banquet, where McKinnon celebrated having a fourth generation graduate of PCHS in her great-grandson Jared Jensen.
The festivities culminated with a Sunday morning breakfast.
"A great time was had by all" McKinnon said.
