Approximately 80 people attended the ordination of Imlay Baptist Church Deacon Jerry Greene (left). During the ordination Greene encouraged those present to read their bible. The ordination sermon was presented by Grass Valley Baptist Pastor John Thomas (right). He challenged Greene to stay faithful to the calling of God and Jesus in his life and to learn from the mistakes the future holds. "God will touch the hearts of the people he wants to touch, even with the worst sermon you've ever preached," Thomas told Greene. Thomas also challenged the congregation to pray for and encourage their new pastor.
The service was followed by a pot luck dinner and time of fellowship.[[In-content Ad]]
