There are few people that come into our lives and touch us with their kind and gentle souls; Pamela Ann Whiting Wynes was one of those people. Pam lost her battle with cancer at the Huntsman Cancer Institute on Dec. 10, 2014, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Through it all, Pam faced that battle with grace, dignity, humor and love for life. Pam enjoyed working on her home, sewing, long walks and caring for people. Her favorite movie was "The Wizard of Oz." We hope you are now, over that rainbow.
Pam was born June 11, 1949, to Irv and Helen Whiting. She is survived by her best friend and husband Edward D. Wynes, father and step mother Irv and Norma Whiting (Oregon), brother Eben Whiting (Oregon), and two other siblings. Pam is preceeded in death by her beloved mother Helen.
Graduating from Southern Oregon College in 1971, Pam met and married the love of her life, Edward D. Wynes, on Sept. 18, 1971, in Ashland, Ore. Together they had many adventures throughout Oregon. The two of them moved to Reno and then Winnemucca in October of 1984 and finally to Elko in 1996. Pam's career in Elko started at the Northeastern NV Museum, REM, and lastly, Consumer Direct until June of 2014.
A celebration of Pam's life will be held Dec. 22, 2014, at the Hilton Garden Inn, 2 p.m. 3650 East Idaho St. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Huntsman Cancer Institute would be appreciated.[[In-content Ad]]
