Ottie Marie Siegfried, 59, entered into eternal rest on April 12, 2014 at Humboldt General Hospital in Winnemucca, Nev., after losing her strong battle against cancer.
Ottie was born on Jan. 29, 1955 to Jonnie and Edna Rose and was married to Sam Siegfried. She lived in Long Beach and Sonora, Calif., where she graduated from Union High School before making her home in Winnemucca.
Throughout Ottie's life she worked in retail in both California and Nevada. She greatly enjoyed helping others who needed it and was a very caring person. Ottie had a great love of animals and enjoyed being involved with Safe Haven Rescue of exotic animals.
Ottie is survived by her sister Aleeta (Jim) Miller, brother Chuck (Ruth) Rose, nephews Dan, Jon, Ken and Jason Miller, Frank Jr. and Charles Overton niece Sherry Acosta.
Ottie was preceded in death by her mother Edna Rose and her brother Tim Rose.
