WINNEMUCCA - In an effort to ensure a greater exchange of information and communication between the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office and the public, Sheriff Ed Kilgore is pleased to announce the first quarterly "Open House with the Sheriff" meeting set for Wednesday, Feb. 15, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The open house will be at the sheriff's office, which is located at the courthouse at 50 W. 5th St.
During these quarterly meetings, the sheriff and his staff will be available to field questions, take suggestions and discuss various issues or concerns with those that attend. A short, specific topic of instruction will be presented at the beginning of each open house to help educate members of the community as to certain law enforcement issues, similar to courses during the Citizen Academy's.
The topic for the first meeting will be a discussion of the 2011 State of the Sheriff's Report.
