The Civil Air Patrol, city of Winnemucca and Winnemucca Air Service are cooperating with Shooting the West (the western United States photography conference) to host an open house at the Winnemucca Municipal Airport on Sunday, March 9. The event will be open to the general public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Numerous static displays of vintage military and civilian aircraft, GA aircraft, CAP aircraft, military vehicles and classic car and motorcycle exhibits are scheduled. The above aircraft, a World War II trainer/fighter, will be displayed at the open house. The aircraft is owned by Dr. Charles Stringham and is rare.
